Playing Blackjack...

Let’s take a look at Baccarat where you’ll either win or lose with the single draw of a card.

Or Roulette where the ball falls depending on where luck wants it to fall.

Or Casino Wars, where fortunes dictate the way that the card is dealt.

These games all depend on factors which you cannot control, hence making these games of chance games that are truly centered on chance. And much like anything else that is solely dependent on luck, you’d be hard-pressed to sustain any profitability from them.

But Blackjack is an entirely new beast altogether. It is a game that does not only require luck, but the player’s intellect, reflexes, and sound judgment as well.

In the chapters of this eBook, you have been taught how to best control the game of Blackjack. You have discovered some strategies that will greatly ensure your success on the table. You have learned some tactics, both allowable and underhanded, that will tremendously boost your advantage in every session.

But something that we have yet to discuss is practice.

Indeed, you can’t just run to the nearest casino or log-in online and start betting against virtual houses without practicing all that we have discussed in the previous pages. Theory doesn’t equate to knowledge immediately. You have to make sure that you will be able to master the theories before you are able to master their implementation.

There are many ways that you can hone the secrets that have been shared in these pages, even when you don’t have anyone to practice with. Here are some suggestions:

With a deck of cards, you can simulate a 6-player Blackjack game. Don’t look at the cards in the unrevealed deck or the unrevealed card that the simulated dealer has. Try to predict the cards that will come up using the card counting methods you have been shown.
With 4 or 8 decks, you can simulate a 6-player multi-deck Blackjack game. Use the same tricks mentioned above.
Try free online Blackjack games to hone your craft. Here are some excellent online simulations that will even allow you to bet with some mock cyber chips:

While playing these games, make sure you implement the card counting strategies that we discussed earlier. You’ll be surprised to learn how effective they really are.

Also, make sure that you keep track of the statistics of your games. How many times did you lose? How many times did you win? What are you doing wrong? This is the key to improvement: studying your playing pattern.

One more thing that we have yet to discuss in the previous chapters is the concept of DOUBLE DOWN.

I have omitted it from the lessons because I don’t promote it. It’s a very dangerous option that can drain your gambling capital with a few lost games.

DOUBLE DOWN is an option that is always available for you after you have received your initial pair of cards. If DOUBLE DOWN is chosen, you will receive one more card - no more, no less. Also, you will be able to double the bet you have initially placed on the table. If you win with the combination given by the 3 cards in your hands, you will win a value equivalent to double your bet.

But if you lose, you’ll say goodbye to the same amount.

The problem with DOUBLE DOWN is that it is too perilous. Yes, card counting can reduce the risks, but the slightest disfavor of Lady Luck and you’re screwed twice over in a single game.

Sometimes, the slower route is always best.

And I firmly believe that this is the case in Blackjack.

After all, you don’t need quick earnings… you need sure earnings!

I ignore the DOUBLE DOWN option and I recommend that you do so as well. Blackjack is a more controllable game without it.
